New Brown Bag Lunch Series on Legal Professions. Hosted by the European Private Law Masters Kick-off event ‘Careers in an international law firm’ on Friday, Feb 19 The European Private Law Masters hosts a new series, ‘Brown Bag Lunches’, that will bring current students of the programme and at the Law School in touch with a diverse range of legal practitioners in an informal setting over lunch. The events are organised by the student-run ‘Brown Bag Lunch Committee’. EPL Programme Coordinator | Dr. Klaas H. Eller Read below for easy details on how to join | This event is open to all on Canvas The inaugural event on Feb 19 at 12.30 pm (via Zoom) is themed ‘Careers in an international law firm’. Three alumni of the programme will share insights on their professional path, their current job and observations of the legal profession more broadly: Beau Visser (Associate at Baker McKenzie), Inbar Ozer (Lawyer at Loyens & Loeff) and Josse Klijnsma (former PhD at UvA, Associate at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek). Future events will focus on job profiles in both conventional and novel legal fields as well as cross-cutting issues such as the role of gender or experiences as an expat. Overall, the events aim to contribute to a reflection of the state of the legal profession. The current student on the ‘Brown Bag Lunch Committee’ are: Axelle Gysemans, Ina Dema, Shay Ogunsanya, Suzan Salama, Yaren Denizalti.
