Giacomo is a PhD researcher in international law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.

His research explores the mechanisms for stakeholders’ participation in the governance of enterprises under the international ‘business and human rights' framework and their normative justifications. At the ACT, Giacomo will work on sociological theories of the enterprise and ‘enterprise democracy’ under the supervision of Prof. Marija Bartl.

Giacomo holds an LL.M. in International Law from the Graduate Institute and a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree in Law from the University of Turin. He is also an alumnus of the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (Georgetown Law) in London. Before starting his PhD, he worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Turin and interned at the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC-ILO). Giacomo’s research interests include international human rights law, business and human rights, international labour law, and legal theory.
