Aitor is a PhD student at the University of La Rioja, Spain, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sergio Cámara Lapuente. He is part of the team of a research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Innovation and Science on 'Consent, Transparency and Unfairness in Digital Content and Services Contracts', within which he is developing his thesis on 'The application of the principle of transparency in the formation process of contracts concluded with consumers in the digital environment'. An important part of his thesis is based on an empirical experiment on digital manipulation through dark patterns and other techniques that they are conducting.
He has completed a certificate in comparative civil law at the Pantheon Assas 2 University in Paris (2019). He has been working on consumer law issues in the digital environment since 2017, including being awarded a second prize in the García Goyena Legal Article Awards (2019/2020).
