Arwin Tavakolnia (1999) will join the University of Amsterdam in January 2022 as a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam Centre for Transformative Private Law (ACT).

He started as a junior-lecturer shortly after obtaining his master's degree in commercial private law (cum laude) and honours bachelor's degree in law (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam.

Arwin will conduct research on the relationship and potential friction between the principles of mass harm law and insolvency law in case of mass harm restructuring, taking inspiration from the U.S. Chapter 11 and U.K. Restructuring Plan.
