On 24 November a symposium about the new Package Travel Directive is organised at the Eye Film Institute, Amsterdam.
|Date||24 November 2015|
|Time||11:00 - 18:15|
With the European Parliament and the European Council finally reaching an agreement on the revision of the Package Travel Directive earlier this year, this symposium intends to evaluate the new rules, anticipate problems with their implementation into national laws, as well as discuss missed chances in the harmonization of the travel sector contracts. Experts in this field will discuss, among other things, such issues as: the exclusion of individually arranged combined services by the consumer from the scope of the PTD, the difficulties of protecting travelling consumers in the P2P economy and in the digital age, continued lack of harmonization of passenger law.
The symposium will be held in the IJ-lounge room at the Eye Film Institute.
Visiting address: IJpromenade 1, 1031KT Amsterdam.
If you travel by car, please note that if using GPS navigation, you should enter ‘Tolhuisweg 5’, because many navigation systems have trouble finding the ‘IJpromenade’. You may also make use of the parking place Oosterdok (the first 5 hours € 1,50 per 20 minutes. After 5 hours (until 24 hours parking) a fixed fee € 12,-).
Take the free ferry behind the Central Station (direction 'Buiksloterweg'). The institute is on the left when you step off the ferry (big white building).
Attendance is free, but subject to registration. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
